Finding my path:
My name is Nicole Schubert-Nicolas and I am a homeopath registered with the Society of Homeopaths. I was born and grew up in Berlin, Germany and have been calling London my home for almost 20yrs. As is so often the case, the path to becoming a homeopath did not lead me in a straight line, but rather in a spiral: After finishing my university education, I enjoyed working on a London trading floor for almost five years, subsequently enjoyed being a full-time mother of 3, then became passionate about nutrition and well-being and co-founded a fermented drinks business with two friends, until completing a Higher Diploma Course in the Art and Science of Homeopathy. I have not looked back since!
Life with Homoepathy:
I discovered homeopathy in my twenties when looking to address the issues underlying my chronic hay-fever. A few years later, homeopathy was a great companion during my pregnancy, especially by manoeuvring me through the realities of working in the demanding environment of a London trading floor.
In my thirties, homeopathy supported me through a (quite literally) painful period of grief after a loss in my family. Homeopathy has taught me to appreciate physical symptoms as subtle clues my body is presenting me with to help me get better. I welcome those signposts now, mindfully and with appreciation.
Maintaining the Balance:
Thus, I have also learned to love the secret world of friendly bacteria all around us, which supports us and our immune system in such subtle, but fundamental ways. I believe, we all want to live in harmony with our environment and ourselves.
Nevertheless, we do get stuck sometimes, be it because of a difficult personal situation, our history or heritage, or simply because it can be a struggle to keep up with this modern world we live in. On those occasions, homeopathy has the power to bring us back into balance, so we can regain the flexibility for adapting to our circumstances and be free.
A source of Strength:
On a most fundamental level, homeopathy still today is to me a teacher, a friend and a continuous source of strength for my other half and me on our quest to raise 3 happy and healthy children. On this adventure, we have come across many challenges so far:
high fevers, slow and painful teething, night terrors, recurring coughs and colds, hay fever and other allergies, eczema, verrucas, parasites, growing pains, head injuries, boils/ulcers, anxieties, etc. and I am sure we will continue to learn and be amazed by what teenage and middle age will have in store for us – coming soon!
Formal learning journey:
I have been providing homeopathic treatment to patients ever since finalising the 2-year Foundation Course at The School of Homeopathy (www.homeopathyschool.com). In 2020, I finished my 4th and last year of the Higher Diploma Course in Homeopathy at the school. I have also completed a course in Anatomy & Physiology as well as a course in Pathology and Disease for homeopaths with the same college. I have a membership with The Society of Homeopaths (www.homeopathy-soh.org). Members of the Society of Homeopaths adhere to a strict Code of Ethics and professional conduct.
A busy Practice:
I am available for appointments Monday to Friday from 7:30 to 19:00. Please contact me under the phone number or e-mail below.
A Multi-Cultural Identity:
Growing up in Berlin, spending several years in Paris and working and bringing up children in London has given me a truly urban and first and foremost European identity.
I am fluent in German, French and English.
